Hosting companies can harm your search engine rankings

If your site was indexed by Google Yahoo and MSN but is nowhere to be found, when you are typing your domain name into one or more of the search engines, many possibilities why this happens can be the cause:

  • Your site could be penalized
reasons are, to much link building, spamming, etc,
  • But also your hosting service provider could be the cause of this effect.
Example: server was down and Google came to crawl your site at that moment which means that you will disappear from Google’s search results.
  • Another extreme case is when you’re site is blocked for User-Agents so the crawlers and robots cannot come in to crawl your site.

We experience this with many of our clients web sites that are hosted somewhere else. This causes many sites to lose rank, while the Webmasters are wondering why.

Choosing the right web host and SEO firm for your web site is of great importance if you really care about your search engine rankings.

We advice normally to our clients to move the site to one of our servers so this will not happen and we have 100% direct root access and settings of the server, which enables us to configure the web sites of our clients for optimal ranking and to achieve best results.

SEO Hosting to help improve your search rankings

It’s long been a well-guarded secret that related sites hosted on multiple Class C IP addresses had and continue to have a marked advantage as far as quality search engine rankings are concerned.

Today, Google, Yahoo, MSN and a few more major search engines will give related Web sites better search rankings if site A links to site B but from a different Class C IP address. There are many companies that own more than one site and they need to have them link to their other Web sites to further promote their brands and help increase sales. Having all your websites hosted on the same server, and on the same Class C IP address is a big mistake!
